Mekanda Robo, MECHANDER ROBO , MEKANDER ROBO
Just like Voltis V and Daimos, Mekanda Robo was translated in to English in the Philippines by the same actors. I have to say that the Pilipino translation it not bad, especially that it is translated by people who's original language is not English nor is even Latin based. The story line of Mekanda Robo is close to that of Voltis, nevertheless, I think that Voltis is a much better animation, but Mekanda is not bad at all! The Major story line is same old, same old. Invaders from out of space want to invade Earth and the hero robot "Mekanda" is the only one that can stand up to them. There is a very nice twist to the story, which makes it more interesting. The Mekanda Robo is not alone in the fight,
just like Gaiking, He has assistances, there is The very interesting thing about Mekanda design, is that he looks like a Football Player "American Football" his bass too, looks like a football field. To me this is strange, do Japanese people play American Football? I don't know! I know that the Japanese Play a lot of Baseball, but football? I believe they are a lot more into Score. If some one can update me on this. Mr. Mike Duncan adds:
"You asked in one of your pages about American
Football and if it is popular in Japan. I do know that the NFL has played
some exhibition games in Japan and their is a, I'm told, very popular anime
and manga in Japan called Eyeshield 21. I believe the anime is still
currently running in Japan."
Is there anything you would like to add? Comments and new information are very welcomed, please email it to me and I will publish it and credit you for it
