THE MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF
GOLD, Alahalm althahabeea,
Esteban Boy of the Sun

The golden Dreams is one of many shows
made based on the Spanish conquerors and their invasion of South America. There
was always the dream to find hidden cities of gold in the heart of the
continent. Such other shows were made with almost the exact same idea, such as
"Peparo, the golden
eagle" and not very long a go the animated movie "The road to Eldora do"
South America has a lot of legends around
it, not only the cities of Gold, but also the fountain of youth, such legends
also surround assent Egypt, in a different way, but also about the forever youth
and hidden treasures.
The Golden Dreams is a very good work, it
was dubbed in Arabic some time in the early 90's. The actors did a good job, but
not a great one, I think the interesting story line helped them a lot.
The story, just like almost every story
made about Eldora do, is about a group of people trying to find the cities of
Gold, and the Spaniard solders are after them so they can get the gold.
As the story goes on, you will
see a lot of strange, yet
exciting things about the Main civilization. It will look like gold was not a
precious mettle to them, it was the only metal they had for industries. The show
reflects the mains as a super civilized civilization that existed a long time a
go with Atlantis.
As the show went on, it got more
interested, the thing that pulled me the most was "What will they find next?"
They do find a lot of cool stuff with a lot of creativity on the writer's side.
I
am not sure how popular this show is, it was only aired once and I don't see it
on any Arabic channel now, so may be it was not this popular! I think the main
reason is because of the low quality dubbing. .
" Golden
dreams" which's real name is in
English : THE MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD" they dubbed it from the French
version that I saw : LES MISTERIEUSES CITEE D'OR
It is made by both French and Japanese people working together. Although it
has a story of its own and wonderfully written its based on a novel, who I
don't remember the authors name, THE KING'S FIFTH .
Although its al magical it has lots of realities in it
not only about Spanish conquerors but also about the Mayans and people who use
to live there. Their beliefs
and there way of life, the places (except the
cities of gold) are all real. I just thought you should know those little
stuff b4 writing bout it.
By the way, I didn't like the Arabic version but I think it was better made
then the Arabic dragon ball.
You should listen to the French version opening song its really great, the
English one is not that bad either
