Staring the ultimate fighting machine
Optimus Prime. Back in the mid 80's The Transformers were the biggest hit ever. This show probably has the most web sites on the web. And why not it is one of the best Cartoon of the 80's
The First time I watched the Transformers, I was about 10. It was the very first episode. The thing that amazed me the most, was the speed and sound of the transformation. I was very disappointed when I watched Beast Wars and Beast Machines with out that special sound. This sound is so unique, that it should be copyrighted.
The movie on the other hand was just great. They could have made it a perfect 10, if they only used more giant robots like Defensor, Menasor, Broticuse, Suprean and all those other giants not only Devastator.
I am a big Transfan. I got all the tapes released in the US and Canada. Then I went to Europe. The problem was the system. All European systems are PAL VS NTSC in the US. So what to do? I bought those tapes and
had them Nevertheless, I was very happy with the offciall realeses on DVD, Great product, AAA+++
Some shows never made it to the U.S.. They were very good, I really don't know why they weren't aired in the US!. Please take a look The thing that you notice
about all the Japanese transformers, is that there is a final episodes. An
episode where You see, in the original 98 American episodes, you can take almost any episode and watch it on its own, but this is not the case with Masterforce. I think that the Japanese have this "sopopra" touch to their shows. I mean this in the sense of not being to understand the show very well if you did not watch all the episodes. If you try to watch a Japanese show in the middle, you will be left with two questions, What happened? and, What will happen? On the other hand, the American Version only leaves you with craving for more. I guess what I am trying
to say here is that you will know that the makers of the first 98 episodes, have
no or little in conmen with the makers of the Japanese version. I don't know why the American TV stopped, yet the Japanese TV went on for 109 more episodes? Did the Transformers loss popularity by the end of the 3ed season? I don't think so. Even if they did, the last five episodes would have regained the shows popularity very fast. Just think of how many great episodes they could have put between "The return of Optimus Prim and the Rebirth!
When I watched The Rebirth, I was thinking Oh boy, are we gona see some season coming up next" Boy was I wrong! The American TV could have don the Headmasters as a another season after the Rebirth, why did they STOP????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scramble City. This is the episode which was to be the introduction to the movie. It never made it in English. Zone. The only episode made on this series. It is the Transformers in the future. all 98 episodes are just great, the first two sessions were out
standing. With the exception of the last five episodes, the thread session was
not bad, not as good as the first two, but still OK.
It
would have been really Coooooooooooooooooooooool if Metroplex and Trypticon
first appearance was in the movie.

They
could have easily put a whole season in there just to introduce the new
characters they showed in the Rebirth. When I first watch the Rebirth I thought
"Man did I miss that many episodes?" They needed a season before the Rebirth
which could have been very interesting, remember the introduction of the
Ariolbots episodes 'The Key to Vector Sigma Part 1 &2"? How Cooool was that?
