Magnos, Gakeen Ga Keen

As the Ice Age wraps the entire planet of a blanket of cold silence, a race of fearsome space creatures retreat to the ocean floor to lay in hibernation and await the thaw that will allow them to once again rule the planet. When weather patterns of the world once again begin to stabilize centuries later, the ancient aliens surface and all of mankind is threatened by their evil intent. Only the power of Sir Miles and his powerful robot creations retain the power and ability to save mankind from a horrific fate at the hands of their alien oppressors, and with the help of his daughter Lady Ester and world karate champ Janis the trio combine the power of the robots to create Magnos - the ultimate fighting machine and the only hope for the future of mankind.

Ga Keen became one of the many super robot series to appear after the seminal works such as Mazinger and Getter Robo opened the floodgates to the genre. Containing outstanding action sequences of high animation quality, Ga Keen remains a solid, if unsung entry into the super robot field. Ga Keen was notable for its creative weaponry systems and the fact that the ultimate attacks of Ga Keen changed as the series progressed, including the intoduction of a Ga Keen heavy tank, Marine Parts and Ga Keen Nunchaku, among many others.
